The Permanent ANIA – Consumer Forum chooses A.M.I.C.A.
The Permanent ANIA – Consumer Forum, a foundation promoted by the National Association of Insurance Companies, has chose the A.M.I.C.A. e-Learning platform, created by Didael, to deliver online courses covering various insurance-related issues to interested parties throughout the country. The architecture of A.M.I.C.A., which is structured as a “generated of e-Learning environments”, enabled the creation of independent, dedicated environments for each of the 14 consumer associations involved. Further, thanks to the work of the Didael laboratory, the functions provided by the platform were selected and personalised according to the specific characteristics of this e-Learning project. The project, which began over a year ago, also saw Didael collaborate with the Forum in terms of providing consultancy during the initial pilot phase. Finally, Didael was responsible for the creation of the multimedia course contents, as set out by the members of an apposite working group made up of representatives of both the Insurers’ and Consumers’ Associations.

5th February 2010: Didael meets delegation from Chinese Information Ministry
Didael, represented by its President, Gianna Martinengo, took part in a meeting – promoted by the Italy China Foundation – with a delegation from the Chinese Information Ministry and with the directors of a series of Internet sites connected to important Chinese newspapers, periodicals and television agencies.
Didael began creating ties with the Chinese world in the mid-90s, initially by developing entrepreneurial relationships and later via projects for intercultural dialogue based on innovative models of information-sharing, collaboration and language learning.
Two of the most important events to have taken place in China include the China Education Expo 2008, held in Peking and Shanghai as part of the Uni-Italia project, and the “Italian Language Teaching and Multimedia” conference (Peking, 2006) – part of the IV Week of the Italian Language in the World – at which Gianna Martinengo gave a speech entitled “Language teaching and digital technologies: the case of Leon@rdo online”.
Among the main solutions conceived and developed by Didael for the Chinese world are:
- Italiano per Cinesi (www.italianopercinesi.it): an Italian Language e-Learning system that pays particular attention to the linguistic needs of Chinese users.
- Leon@rdo (www.leonardonline.info): online magazine created for the Public Education Ministry and the Universities and Research Ministry on occasion of the Year of Italy in China. Its aim is to provide a knowledge-sharing platform for Italian and Chinese individuals, allowing the latter to discover what our country has to offer in the areas of culture, science and technology.
- A.M.I.C.A.: an e-Learning platform with a Chinese interface, along with a series of administration, communication, sharing, content delivery and monitoring functions (http://www.didael.it/catalogo/schede/amica/index_en.htm).
The meeting held on Friday 5th February 2010 brought together the directors of the websites connected to some of Italy’s most important communication bodies, as well as those members of the Foundation who are responsible for new technologies and Internet software. The aim of the encounter was to favour dialogue on issues of a technical and communicative nature.

Coming soon: the new Pianeta Kids website
We had mentioned it several months ago, on occasion of the MaM 2009 event. And now it’s finally ready. The Pianeta Kids [Kid Planet] website (www.pianetakids.it) has been updated to make it more user-friendly, favouring dialogue and interaction with its visitors.
Fun graphics, clear surfing standards, updated contents: these are all qualities that the new site possesses.
Kids, parents and teachers are its main users: they benefit from dedicated areas and personalised contents.
Pianeta Kids makes various educational tools available to its younger users, allowing them to learn while having fun: online games; playing cards to print, colour in and cut out; links to web resources. But there’s more. The stories received from Pianeta Kids fans are regularly published in the “Che storia!” [“What a story!”] section.
And, by taking the survey, younger users are also able to contribute to the site’s improvement.
Parents and teachers can find interesting facts and useful information relating to children and youngsters on the Pianeta Kids blog: growth stages, play, learning and school. Pianeta Kids offers them a space for sharing and dialogue too: they can leave comments on published articles and flag their own events, news or links.
